Manley Tours Little City Campus

PALATINE, ILL -- State Representative Natalie Manley toured the Little City Campus in Palatine on August 26. The 56-acre campus is a vibrant community that offers a comprehensive scope of services to individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Founded in 1959, Little City serves approximately 1,000 individuals and their families across eight counties in Northeastern Illinois. Residentially, there are over 50 children and 150 adults living on campus.

"I was honored to tour Little City and see the many ways this remarkable organization serves individuals and families across Northeastern Illinois," Representative Manley said. "They demonstrate what is possible when individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are given the support, resources, and opportunities they deserve."

Residents harvest and sell vegetables at the Horticulture Center, explore their creative talents at the Arts Center, and participate in recreation and fitness activities on a daily basis. In 2025, 65 athletes competed in the Special Olympics in basketball and softball, bringing home 10 gold medals.

The Center for Employment provides structured programming that builds foundational skills needed for employment in the community.

These are exceptional individuals who, when given the right tools, can thrive," Little City CEO Rich Bobby said. "And our incredible team makes it all happen."

In 2025, Little City’s foster care and adoption program served 175 youth, with dedicated offices in Humboldt Park and Matteson focused on recruiting and supporting foster and adoptive families.
